Mighty Playwrights 2024

REGISTRATION

The Lieder Theatre Company is seeking performers, backstage crew, lighting and AV technicians, and creatives for our upcoming production of Mighty Playwrights 2024, performed at the Lieder Theatre in September. Directed by Blake Selmes.

SUMMARY

Mighty Playwrights is an annual program, working in collaboration with Goulburn Mulwaree Library and the region's primary schools to bring the joy of writing and story telling to the next generation of young people.

In 2024, 6 young writers will work at Goulburn Mulwaree Library to create 6 original short plays. The Lieder Theatre Company will then transform each play into a full-scale stage production, all to be performed in one night of theatre. The Mighty Playwrights program inspires young people to discover the power of their own thoughts and voices through literacy education, story telling, and the performing arts. Mighty Playwrights encourages and celebrates self expression, lifelong learning, and the free exploration of ideas and the imagination.
