The Company

The Lieder Theatre Company is the longest continuously-running theatre company in Australia. Established in 1891, the company has evolved to provide a focus for the performing arts in the Goulburn region.

Lead by Artistic Director Blake Selmes and the current Board of Management, The Lieder Theatre Company presents up to 5 major performance projects each year along with numerous community events, readings, workshops, short seasons of experimental and new works, as well as nurturing the thriving Lieder Youth Theatre Company.

Based in the historic Lieder Theatre, built by the company in 1929, the Lieder Theatre Company offers exciting and innovative live entertainment to a broad community while offering training opportunities and a professional resource to its members.
