The Secret River
REGISTRATION
The Lieder Theatre Company is seeking performers, crew, and creatives for our upcoming production of The Secret River, adapted for the stage by Andrew Bovell. Directed by Chrisjohn Hancock.
SUMMARY
The Secret River is based on a 2005 historical novel by Kate Grenville about an early 19th-century Englishman transported to Australia for theft. The story explores what might have happened when Europeans colonised land already inhabited by Aboriginal people along the Hawkesbury River in the early 1800s
We are seeking First-Nations actors: 4f, 4m (adult) and 2m (8-14yo)
and non-indigenous actors: 2f, 8m (adult) and 2m (8-12yo)
Please check the rehearsal schedule below, and complete this form to register your interest in being involved in The Secret River at the Lieder Theatre. Registration does not guarantee a spot in the production - but all effort will be made to include interested individuals in some way.

Rehearsals will commence late June
10 performances between 23 August - 9 September 2022
Language rehearsals/workshops will be organised from February to June in consultation with the cast
