Please check the available roles, study the rehearsal schedule below, and complete the registration form below to register your interest in being involved in the March 2026 production of The Underpants at the Lieder Theatre. Registration does not guarantee a spot in the production - but all effort will be made to include interested individuals in some way - including technicians, crew, designers and artists.

6:30pm, Wednesday December 17th.

Performers may be asked to read excerpts from the script and participate in a physical theatre exercise.

About the play:

The Underpants is a sharp, cheeky farce by Steve Martin (yes, that Steve Martin), adapted from the 1911 German satire by Carl Sternheim. It follows Louise, a respectable housewife whose underpants scandalously slip down in public, sparking a frenzy of attention from wannabe suitors, opportunists, and her pompous husband who’s more worried about public opinion than marital bliss. It’s witty, ridiculous, and delightfully theatrical - a comedy of manners turned all the way up, poking fun at vanity, desire, and the absurd lengths people go to in order to seem respectable.

A table read will be held in late December 2025, and Rehearsals begin on Wednesday January 28th 2026.
