Blake directed his first show at the Lieder last year, Fire in the Basement, followed by designing and performing in A Musical: Do You Hear the Lieder Sing, Again! and then touring to Poland with Monochrome. He was also involved backstage of last years The 13 Storey Treehouse. Blake’s first show with the Lieder was in 2015 when he performed in our foyer production Two Weeks with the Queen, quickly followed by Moon Over Buffalo, then Much Ado About Nothing and Oink! The 3 Pigs. Subsequently, he was in Pippin, Twelfth Night, Baskerville, Journey Through the Impossible, Masquerade, The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (at the Goulburn Club), Monochrome (at Florida USA, Periphery Goulburn, Goleniow & Krakow - Poland), The Touch of Silk, and The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. In 2018 he also performed with the Lieder’s guest company Teatr Brama from Poland in the latter’s Ghost Dance Impressions as part of Periphery. Originally from Sydney, Blake came to Goulburn after volunteering for Oxfam in Papua New Guinea for 18months. While there, he was involved with the Moresby Arts Theatre, performing in Henry IV and Twelfth Night, for which he stage managed. He also adapted and co-directed Mel Brooks’ Young Frankenstein.
