The river by David Cole

REGISTRATION

The Lieder Theatre Company is seeking performers, backstage crew, lighting and AV technicians, and creatives for our upcoming local writers showcase production of The River by David Cole, performed at the Lieder Theatre in June. Directed by Blake Selmes.

SUMMARY

Two bodies are found in the river on the outskirts of Gomorra, a remote Australian village, in 1957. This coincides with the arrival of a young teacher who has been sent there to relieve the previous teacher, who has gone mad. As the new young teacher tries to cope with the isolation and strange characters that inhabit this village, he starts to question his own sanity. There is something in this place that drives people to the brink. A gothic, supernatural thriller.

PRODUCTION DETAILS

Performing roles are available for actors aged 16 and over.

Rehearsals begin on Wednesday the 14th of May.
There will be three performances on the 27th and 28th of June.
