Zachary Aleksander

Zach Selmes is a Goulburn-raised, Sydney-based actor and musician. He holds a Bachelor of Music with a major in musical theatre at the Australian Institute of Music where his appearance as the Baker in Into The Woods and his self-devised show Purpose, Shmurpose were lauded by the legendary Philip Quast. Since leaving uni, Zach has starred in, played in and musical directed various shows for the Australian Shakespeare Company, Giant Dwarf Theatre, the Seymour Centre and has made appearances in the Sydney Comedy Festival and Sydney Fringe Festival. For the last three years, he has played Carpenter as well as guitar and cello in the onstage chamber orchestra in the Gilbert and Sullivan opera H.M.S. Pinafore for the Hayes Theatre in 2019, the NSW Tour in 2020 and Sydney Festival in 2021. His latest work is appearing in 2022’s Heathers in Darling Harbour
